Two Corvairs for Sale.
A 1966 Monza Coupe, 95 HP, PG, Factory Air, Quick Steering Box and Arms.
Originally ordered by the Clearwater, Florida Chevrolet dealer for his wife's personal car. A low performance motor, for trouble free driving without premium
gasoline. Factory A/C with
all the correct parts, fast idle solenoid, front mounted spare tire, etc. It was competitive for the Edward S Cole trophy, but not quite enough.
For the Asheville CORSA Convention, we
added a correct '66 Quick Steering Box and factory arms, making it handle like a British Sports Car. Car competes in CORSA Factory Stock Restored Class.
It easily won the Cole award in Asheville.
Always garaged, it was restored with a new interior, although the replacement door panels have been stolen. Has an AM, push button radio. but has the
correct rear antenna for a factory AM/FM. A recently rebuilt factory AM/FM radio is available at extra cost. Note: Seats are white, Clarks' reproduction,
professionaly installed, with soft, black covers, which are quickly removed.
A very low mileage 1962 Greenbrier. Original mileage 25,347.
Sold new by Dralle Chevrolet in Peotone to the South Chicago Heights Fire Department, it was traded-in in 1969 back
to Dralle, with under 8,000 original miles.
Ralph B, a Corvair enthusiast was the parts manager at Dralle when it was traded in, and he bought it before the sale finished. Ralph drove it from 1969 to
about 1993, when I purchased it from Ralph's widow. It has always been an Illinois truck, living in So. Chic. Hts, in Crete, and in Palos Park. The van is a Standard, but
was optioned at
the factory with chrome bumpers. The dealer added an AM radio, a white stripe, and fire department spotlights. As a Standard, it has one speed wipers ,no door arm rests,
no windshield washers,
no right side sunvisor, etc. The original interior is without rips, tears, splits or stains. It still has the base engne, 80 HP and a three speed manual.
